The process begins with identifying the appropriate FSSAI license category based on the nature and turnover of the business. The application is then submitted through the FOSCOS portal along with the required documents. After verification and, if required, inspection by the food authority, the FSSAI Registration or License is issued.
FSSAI licenses are classified into three categories:
Basic Registration
State License
Central License
The license is generally issued with a validity ranging from 1 to 5 years, depending on the applicant's preference and eligibility.
